An Amusing Blend of Unique and Ubiquitous
It's hard not to love a movie that will "hassle the Hoff" with a character name like Anson LaDouche! (Note to David: if you're going to rock the sleeveless kimono look, please wax those monkey-man shoulders!)
A blond, Americanesque baby in a basket washes ashore "Somewhere In Asia" where he is adopted by two loving parents. Dad runs an oriental take-out place--ubiquitous. Mom makes and rents instructional sex tapes--unique. Little blond Ikki grows into an unpopular but well-rounded adolescent, helping Dad with deliveries and dreaming, in anime, of becoming a Dancing Ninja.
Ikki seeks training from a martial artist who looks as Oriental as Emeril Lagasse, and sports a chest tattoo that looks like half of a butterfly, dragging a ribbon. The Dancing Ninja
A fun and entertaining comedy about a legendary boy who is lost at sea, and grows up somewhere in Asia. David Hasselhoff plays the campy arch villain. Overall the film is worth watching.
